DARK AND OUT-DATED TO BRIGHT AND SOPHISTICATED SMALL BATHROOM REMODEL
Bellamy Remodeling partnered with Central Kitchen and Bath Showroom to transform a dark and out-dated small bathroom in Ballston Lake, NY. When remodeling a small bathroom with a client we always take into consideration key aspects when designing the new space:
• Maximize Vertical Space: Use shelves, wall-mounted cabinets, or tall storage units to make the most of vertical space for storage.
• Choose Light Colors: Lighter colors on walls and floors can make the space feel larger and more open.
• Opt for a Shower Instead of a Tub: If space is tight, consider replacing a bathtub with a shower to save space.
• Use Mirrors Strategically: Mirrors can create an illusion of space and also reflect light, making the bathroom feel brighter.
• Install Efficient Lighting: Good lighting is essential in a small bathroom. Consider overhead lighting along with task lighting around the mirror.
• Select Space-Saving Fixtures: Look for compact toilets, corner sinks, and smaller vanities to optimize floor space.
• Consider Alternatives for Flooring: Choose materials like tiles or vinyl that are suitable for bathrooms and easy to clean.
• Add Storage Solutions: Incorporate niches in the shower, towel racks that double as shelves, or hooks on the back of the door to maximize storage without taking up extra space.
BEFORE AND AFTER SMALL BATHROOM TRANSFORMATION
The customers chose a natural walnut Bertch vanity that is truly more of a furniture piece because of all the detail work. Walnut is an excellent choice for cabinetry especially if you like the look of the wood grain and variations. Inside the vanity, there is a hair appliance organizer and a vanity pullout organizer both made by Bertch.
They paired that with a Cambria quartz countertop in their Nevern design which has a combination of taupes and browns running throughout. For the faucet, they selected a traditional faucet in the Delta Cassidy collection in Champagne Bronze.
Looking for more storage solutions, the customers selected a matching tank topper cabinet to coordinate with the vanity.
A Kohler Highline tall toilet was installed and upgraded with a Kohler PureWash bidet seat for added luxury and convenience. It evens comes with a sleek, handheld remote control with two programmable user presets.
To add a modern flair to the new bathroom, the customers decided on an LED mirror made by Electric Mirror. This mirror has Ava technology which includes tunable LED lights that let you select the color that best matches the environment you are preparing for – outdoors, indoors, or evening.
For the shower, an older one piece unit was removed and in its place an Onyx wall system was installed, with a recessed shelf for shower supplies and a floating bench seat. The beauty of the Onyx product is the customizability, along with the ease of installation, and easy cleaning. Backed by a lifetime warranty it is hard to not love Onyx!
A Delta Hydrorail with both a five setting rainhead and a handheld were mounted into the shower for a true spa like experience.
Throughout the bathroom, Delta Cassidy accessories; towel bars, robe hooks, grab bars, toilet paper holder and a towel ring, in Champagne Bronze finish the space.
